"Good , Better, Best...Never let it rest, until your good is better and your better is best." ~ Tim Duncan
This motivational quote was first introduced to me while I was in high school and helped me to instill a standard of excellence that could be applied to every area of my life. It reminds me to always give the best of my talents and service in all my endeavors. It also teaches me that no matter how good things may seem that there is always opportunity for improvement.
Psalm 37:4-5 (KJV) states, "Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." I am so thankful to God for showing and giving me the desires of my heart – desires that are not motivated by material things. Serving and advocating for children has become my passion. It is so rewarding to be able to help a child grow up to be emotionally healthy and productive citizens.
Butterflies have always had special meaning to me because just like the metamorphosis in the life of the butterfly, we all go through transformations in life. Sometimes we don't understand and appreciate the changes. However, if we remember the transformation of the butterfly and know that change is coming, we can "begin with the end in mind."
