I have always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. This desire was fuelled by wonderful teachers who showed me what it felt like to be cared for, welcomed, and challenged in the classroom. This has inspired me to ensure that each class I teach has a foundation of trust and compassion and celebrates the diversity within it. My students know that I expect them to work hard and do their best and will help them to do so, but also that there is always a time and place for fun and laughter. Sometimes we just need a good dance party! School should be a place where children can explore who they truly are with no fear and grow to become the best version of themselves. I am honoured to have a part in this.
