Hola, Hello, my name is Angélica Salazar, and I am a British-Colombian professional communicator with over 10 years of experience in the development of value-driven, integrated marketing communications strategy, where design, sustainability, and global development meet. I am driven to unlock impact through inclusive and purpose-led narratives. Great to connect!

Backgrounded in Industrial Design and a Master’s in Marketing Communications, the personal approach to storytelling, behavioral change, and stakeholder engagement deals with a multidisciplinary perspective, mainly in diverse environments and those mission-aligned.

I have led the role of Communications Officer, MarComms Strategist, and Social Media Executive in several international NGOs, intergovernmental organizations, and grassroots initiatives. My work at the International Coffee Organization (ICO), Latin American Women's Aid (LAWA), and Fashion Revolution (COL) has been on gender equality, climate action, and ethical production. This has placed me in the lead of ICO's global campaigns for International Women's Day and International Coffee Day, attesting to comparable outputs in audience development and stakeholder engagement.

I am skilled in working across remote and hybrid settings and proficient with tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, Salesforce, Canva, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, WordPress, Slack, Asana, and Microsoft Office. My practices are based on results-oriented management, employing clear objectives, impact measures, and full reporting.

In the early stage of my career, I spent four years working as a Senior Packaging Designer at Smurfit Kappa, where I worked with my favourite material — corrugated fiberboard — and applied circular design principles. This experience provided a valuable foundation that continues to shape my commitment to regenerative practices and climate-conscious communication today.

I engage with the Sustainable Development Goals as an important framework for guiding global priorities, while remaining mindful of their limitations and contextual challenges. My focus lies in applying their underlying principles—such as inclusivity, regeneration, and responsibility—through creative and communicative practices.
