I'm Angelique Monet, a children's author, illustrator, public speaker, and artist passionate about helping children discover courage through storytelling.

As the creator of A Day to Be Brave, I combine books, live author experiences, art, and imagination to create memorable moments that encourage confidence, resilience, and kindness. My work has inspired more than 100,000 students across 26 states, has been celebrated by schools and organizations nationwide, and has been featured on Good Morning America.

When I'm not writing or speaking, I create classic hand-painted backgrounds for video games, blending traditional artistry with interactive storytelling. Whether I'm illustrating a picture book, painting an imaginative digital world, or inspiring students through a live experience, my goal is always the same—to spark imagination and remind people that courage often begins with a single brave step.

Beyond my work, I'm endlessly inspired by beautiful old architecture, hidden history, and the quiet details that make ordinary places feel magical. Those same themes often find their way into my stories, artwork, and the worlds I create.
