Dr. Angelle E. Richardson, LPC, is the Founder and Director of Extended Hearts Family Therapy. She holds a Doctorate in Couple and Family Therapy from Drexel University, a Masters in Counseling from Rider University, and is also a licensed professional counselor. Dr. Richardson has experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families, and specializes in working with adolescents. She has worked with children and families who have been affected by adoption, foster care, addiction, loss and grief.
Dr. Richardson has been certified in the Beck Model of Cognitive Therapy through the University of Pennsylvania, and is also trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has conducted numerous workshops on bullying, self-esteem, and attachment, including presentations at the 2013 and 2014 American Family Therapy Academy (AFTA) Conferences. Dr. Richardson’s research on female adoptees’ post-relationship experiences with both biological and adoptive mothers was published in the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy.
Dr. Richardson is also the Director of Center Based Programming for The Center for Grieving Children. She is an experienced therapist who helps individuals and families negotiate the difficult emotions that come with grief and loss, and she enjoys helping families find a way to rebuild their connections and move toward a new future.
