Dr. Angelle E. Richardson is a Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. She is the Founder of Extended Hearts Family Therapy. She holds a Doctoral degree in Couple and Family Therapy, a Master's degree in Counseling, and a Bachelors degree in Professional Writing/Journalism.

Dr. Richardson specializes in providing therapy to individuals and families impacted by adoption, foster care, trauma, and grief.

She has presented at numerous conferences on important mental health topics, and her research on female adoptees’ relationships with both biological and adoptive mothers has been published in the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy. She has additional creative and academic works published in scholarly journals as wells.

Dr. Richardson primarily uses Narrative Therapy to help individuals and families tell their stories and work toward healing. She has also been certified in the Beck Model of Cognitive Therapy and is trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
