Angelo Gabriel Lapuz

Serving through the means of music, expressing through the drum set and communicating through collective improvisation. These three are my principles in drumming. I fell in love with music and drumming at an early age, I first learned in our local church and in 2019 I have decided to take up a Music Course for College. Now I am currently taking a bachelor's degree in jazz Drum Set at the University of Santo Tomas' Conservatory of Music.

My teacher Harald Huyssen, drummer of Shamrock and Glory fall, has taken me to a higher level through our Jazz Drum set program. I have been able to reach new heights, understand my instrument more, and most specially learn more about the music industry here in the Philippines. I have also learned a lot in the technical aspect of drum set, rudiments, grooves, and styles.

Currently I am the drummer and president of the UST Jazz Band. I also play for Soulution Worship, Akatsuki PH, ALYSSA, Jestur, SEFY, and Jan Romina. I am also a recording drummer for Soulution Worship, ALYSSA, and SEFY.

I really aspire to further enhance my jazz drumming while also exploring other genres that I am not comfortable with. Learning never stops, and I will enjoy every moment and opportunity where I can learn.
