Angelo Santamaria (American Superconductor) serves as the vice president of global manufacturing operations for Oasys Water, a firm that produces forward osmosis systems that aid American and Chinese industries to lessen their environmental impact by cleaning waste water. In this position, which he has held since 2014, Angelo R. Santamaria presided over a 300 percent increase in the firm’s production capacity and a 30 percent drop in product cost through the establishment of manufacturing centers in Tijuana. He also achieved 80 percent decreases in travel and overtime expenses and a further 40 percent drop in costs by developing local supply chains.
Prior to his current position, he led a 17-year career as an executive at large American high-tech firms in the semiconductor and renewable energy infrastructure industries such as American Superconductor and Microsemi Corp.
Angelo Robert Santamaria holds both a BS in electrical engineering and an MBA from Northeastern University. He is a longtime resident of Massachusetts and engages with his community through his support of local nonprofits. He has long been a contributor to the Jimmy Fund, an organization that helps children and adults who are battling cancer.
