Human Resources Manager in Blue Bell, PA
Angie is currently completing her last MBA class at Maryville University and will graduate, with honors, in August 2019. The experiences and knowledge she has gained during the last two years of studies will complement her already robust knowledge of the business and Human Resources world.
Angie strongly believes in giving back and being an active member in the her community. She has been volunteering as far back as she can remember and has been proud to be involved with over 40 different charities and organizations during her adult volunteering life.
Angie volunteers with the Laurel House in Norristown, PA in several ways from transporting food donations to their shelter to being a member of their fundraising event committee. Their flagship Bingo fundraiser event increased profits by 257% over the three years Angie has part of the event committee. She advised changes to key event components that directly impacted profitability, as well as helped secure event sponsorships and raffle baskets donations.
She also volunteers with One House at a Time (OHAAT) and helps deliver mattresses to children in need who do not have a bed to sleep on in Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties. Angie has been a volunteer with OHAAT for five years and finds personal gratification in knowing that the children she is meeting are no longer sleeping on floors and now have a comfortable bed to sleep on, as well as a new stuffed animal (many of which were donated by Angie herself).
Earlier this year, Angie became the volunteer Social Media Coordinator for Fifty Shades Against Bullying, a national non-profit group who advocates anti-bullying initiatives. Her main responsibilities include the execution and implementation of their national social media campaigns, daily monitoring and management of their social media platforms, and repurposing and creating content for digital channels to share compelling messages to engage key audiences across the country.
Angie also volunteers with Sebastian Riding Associates, which offers equine assisted therapy programs for children and adults living with a variety of physical, mental health and intellectual disabilities. She is a support person during lessons, helps with horse care, and participates in their summer horse camps.
