Angus Dale-Jones is a compliance strategy consultant, advising businesses on regulatory and other compliance obligations.
After training as a Chartered Accountant in Southern Africa, Angus moved to Australia where he worked with theAustralian Securities and Investments Commissionfor 17 years, ultimately as Regional Commissioner of their Western Australian office.
In 2008 Angus was appointed by the New Zealand Securities Commission (predecessor of the Financial Markets Authority) as director responsible for the implementation of the Financial Advisers Act and led the adviser regulation team until the new legislation was implemented in 2011.
From 2012 to June 2016, Angus was an independent board member of the Professional Advisers Association, having chaired an interim joint board in 2011 to amalgamate the PAA and the former NZ Mortgage Brokers Association.
Angus is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and holds a Masters degree in Business and Technology from the University of New South Wales.
Angus divides his time between working part-time as Head of Compliance at global investment specialists NZAM and running Knax Consulting Ltd.
