Anh graduated in 2009 from the University of Minnesota with dual degrees in Honors Neuroscience and Psychology. She co-founded the first-ever chapter of Biology Without Borders (BWB), an organization which provides students with the opportunity to volunteer locally and internationally. To date, more than 40 students have volunteered in Tanzania, Kenya, and Peru through BWB.
Anh is currently a second year M.Phil student at Newcastle University, UK. Her research focus is on mortality differences between men and women of European and South Asian origin.
Anh was awarded a 2008 Howard R. Swearer Student Humanitarian Award, and was appointed to USA Today's 2009 All-USA College Academic First Team. She was also a 2009-10 US-UK Fulbright Scholar to Newcastle University, UK.
