My name is Alison Nicoletti and I am a junior at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I am studying hospitality and tourism management and have a love for traveling and food. Since I was a kid, my parents have exposed me to the beauty of travel and food and now they are two prominent aspects in my life that I love and appreciate. I have been to countries in Europe, South America, Africa, and of course, North America. Each country and city represents a different culture and image that is definitively different from the rest of the world. Along with travel, food is important because with every culture, there is a distict food representing it. These two topics have significally shaped my life for the better. As a child, I never appreciated the attraction of culture and image. Yet, as I got older, the vacations I spent around the world has taught me to adapt to other cultures, become immersed in other languages, and to accept traditions. As I matured, I soon learned that food and travel are pronounced aspects of my life that have made me who I am today.
