As a senior leader in the manufacturing industry, I agree with Aristotle. To succeed in business, excellence should be a way of life. That is why I am passionate about those skills and tools that ensure quality, efficiency, health, safety, and value, e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Process Excellence, Scorecards, 7QB, SPC and Total Productive Maintenance.

Every day, KPIs are evaluated and discussed; everywhere, we look for opportunities to improve; every unexpected incident is investigated and the lessons learned. I embed these values is my teams, and I recognise and reward excellence. The status quo can hold back progress. By simply changing from a one supplier to another, I cut delivery times, saved on costs, and improved quality.

During my career, I have set up new manufacturing sites; delivered $multimillion projects to re-equip plant for new products; dramatically improved productivity; reduced costs and defects; significantly increased safety; and eliminated accidents. I am proud of those achievements, and of the managers and teams who contributed to our business success.
