Anita Henderson

Anita is a current University of Houston, Downtown student matriculating through the Interdisiplinary Studies with a concentration in business, Bachelors of Science Program. After two years she plans on completing in preparation for her new venture in healthcare. Later, real estate. This will give her entrepreneurship skills a chance to burst ,and excel, in the investment of her own business.

Anita has paced herself through the prestigious UHD campus by successfully obtaining at least a 3.2 grade point average. She also shows her independence by balancing education, work, and extracurricular activities, in an efficient manner. She has succeeded in the promotion of her idea through the Lockheed Martin sponsorship. By her sponsorship, she has had the experience of one-on-one interactions with agents in regards to the company's background and future plans as a government agency. She was affiliated with the Genesis works association, company, and corporation of internships program. She has completed contractual requirements with MFR, P.C. - a small Accounting Firm located in Houston, TX; formally merged with Doeren Mayhew. There she consumed her knowledge of accounts receivables, payables, budgeting, payroll, balance sheets, journal entries, income statements, and trial balance.

Anita's experience at U of H - Downtown has triggered her passion for supporting the youth in their journey to success. In the near future, she plans on promoting internship programs and volunteer organizations that will assist the younger generation in future experiences.
