Anita is a current University of Houston student matriculating through the Accounting &Taxation Bachelors of Arts Program. After two years she plans on completing the Accounting Masters of Arts Program in preparation for the CPA exam. After obtaining her CPA license, she plans on working for a small Bank. This will give her the chance to invest in the success of her own CPA accounting firm.
Anita has paced herself through the prestigious University of Houston campus by successfully obtaining at least a 3.2 grade point average. She also shows her independence by balancing education, work, and extracurricular activities in an efficient manner. She has succeeded in the promotion of her idea through the Lockheed Martin sponsorship. By her sponsorship, she has had the experience of one-on-one interactions with agents in regards to the company's background and future plans as a government agency. She is a part of the National Association of Accountants club where she is able to network with significant companies and obtain information on how to build her career as a accounting professional. She has interned with MFR, PC, a small Accounting Firm located in Houston, TX where she consumed her knowledge of accounts receivables, accounts payables, budgeting, payroll, balance sheets, journal entries, income statements, and trial balance.
Anita's experience at U of H has triggered her passion for supporting the youth in their journey to success. In the near future, she plans on promoting internship programs and volunteer organizations that will assist the younger generation in corporate experience.
