Anjali Kausar

Anjali Kausar currently serves as the C.E.O. for the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce and as board of trustee on The Cupertino Union School District (CUSD). She served as the President of CUSD Board of Education in 2013 & 2017. She has severed on the Board since 2009 & was re-elected in 2014. Anjali is the first Indian America to serve in this capacity. She is actively involved in local education issues facing Santa Clara County, as she is a member of the Executive Board of the Santa Clara County School Board Association. In 2014 she was elected to serve as the President of the Asian Pacific Islander School Board Members Association. In 2015, she was named Women of Influence by Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Anjali is a very active member in her local community where her three children attend local public schools. She strongly believes in quality education and opportunities for all children, as they are our future and education sets the foundation for their ability to contribute to the constantly changing global society. She founded SkoolCare, a nonprofit in 2012 to provide dental care to children on school campus in underserved areas.

Anjali has a Master’s degree in Policy, Organization & Leadership Studies from the Stanford University. She also has a Master’s degree in Health Administration and has worked in the health care industry as an executive for over 15 years.
