Anja Rath

Anja Rath (born Anja Arnold) is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of COOPERATIVA Venture Group, where she heads the Transaction Advisory unit and, together with Nikolas Samios, PropTech1 Ventures, Germany's first venture capital fund focusing on European PropTech startups.

COOPERATIVA covers 360° of venture capital: Direct, indirect and LP investments in startups, support in their fundraising and exit efforts, venture-centric family office services and the inception and operation of VC funds in cooperation with leading sector experts. COOPERATIVA benefits from its Partners’ combined experience, which includes participation in more than 200 venture capital transactions.

Together with her Transaction Advisory team, Anja Rath supports both founders and investors in typical key moments along the startup life cycle, ranging from startup acceleration / corporate development to the conception and execution of financing strategies as well as the coordination of M&A and exit processes.

Anja has been active in the digital industry for over 15 years, with a variety of mandates in corporate venture capital, portfolio management, strategy sparring, financing round structuring, and M&A. Her clients include founders as well as listed agency groups, telcos, family offices, media houses, and super angels such as the mp3 inventors. In addition, she regularly supports startups in setting up their financial and investor relations management departments, either as interim CFO or consultant.

Anja holds an MBA as well as an MSc in International Finance from the OUBS, UK.
