Installation, configuration and management of infrastructure services such as backups.

Technical support of all Windows server issues.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, AD Forests, Domains, Group Policies, OUs, etc.

Working knowledge of DNS, DFS, and DHCP.

Working knowledge of VMware, and VMware vSphere Client.

Perform server upgrades and apply patches or updates.

Monitor server uptime and performance, and perform required system maintenance.

Installs, configures and tests software packages.

Working knowledge of Windows System Operator Server Administration.

Evaluates requests for hardware and software; researches and recommends solutions to technology needs, compatible with the client’s technology architecture and infrastructure and resource constraints.

Creates, changes, and deletes user accounts per request.

Respond to after-hours critical escalations and incidents in a 24x7 support environment.

Comply with, and help to enforce, corporate security policies and change control practices.

Provide business support and/or general information technology support within ITIL framework.

Provide technical support on server systems, and resolve escalated helpdesk tickets.

Communicate with end users, user groups, and other IT staff involving technology maintenance and upgrades.

Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting.

Development of technology standards and establishment of performance guidelines to support daily operations of server infrastructure.

Updating software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each network resource.

Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats.

Configuring security systems, analyzing security requirements, and recommending improvements.

Configuring and supporting security tools, such as anti-virus software.

Maintain the Symantec and Trend Micro Antivirus for entire infrastructure. This includes insuring the audit compliance and currency of the console software version as well as the anti-virus definitions.
