Hire me

Hey there, my name is Ankit, but you may call me Anky or Ankz. My full name is rather long, so I came up with a unique abbreviation for it. I used "et cetera" as a suffix for a while, which is now shortened to "Etc" because it was also too lengthy for my liking.

Where do I start my story? I guess from the beginning. I was born during the monsoon season in Goa, India and was proclaimed to be the cutest baby in the world by the doctor and my grandmother. I was a troublesome kid from the first second, which explains why I was in my mother's womb for 15 days extra before I decided that I was ready to take on the world. Following that, my family moved to Muscat, Oman where I cocooned for the next 13 years and grew into the beautiful butterfly I am today.

In 2010, I moved to Ontario, Canada to pursue secondary school education with the promise of cold weather year round. My parents had warned me that it would be chilly, but I loved chili so I didn't heed their warning. I don't like the English language, homophones ruin people's lives,. Why can't we all learn Na'vi or Klingon instead?

Always listen to your parents, kids! Speaking of which, mine are quite alright, but they always put my brother and me before everything else. I want to be just like them when I grow up. Yes, I'm not grown up yet. I still have a lot to learn. (And if you're wondering, my brother is awesome) (He made me write that at gunpoint, somebody save me)

I'm currently an undergrad at the University of Waterloo, I've been here for so long that I have no clue what year of my program I'm in. I would like to think that I'm a master of extracurricular activities, I'm involved with everything on campus! Almost. Not really. Only a few things.

I've been told by everyone (including the founder of about.me) that I have a great smile, it comes so effortlessly to me and I don't even feel like I'm stretching my cheek muscles.

Moving on, I try to do things differently from everyone else. For example, I think inside the box while everyone is thinking outside of it. But I like to learn, I actually love learning new things. However, I'm not so keen on the idea that we have to do it for marks at school. Sadly, our entire lives depend on it. Or so, we're told. But we're rebels, right? No? Just me then. Alright.
