Thanks for checking in to learn something about me. I do love making new friends and chatting with the longterm. Hearing and telling stories of real lives is something that seems to be in my genes. I started collecting family stories and genealogies when I was seven years old, which is a long-time for a woman now "of a certain age" as the French like to say.

I live in a little town at the gateway to Western Massachusetts along the northern corridor with my husband and an ever changing number of cats that seem to make their way to us. Just when I think we're coming to the end of the cat collection, along comes another refugee. This part of my life seems to embody the plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose (the more things change, the more they stay the same) attitude, which is not nearly so pessimistic as that might seem on first view.

Follow me and you'll see why.

Thanks for stopping by.
