Anna Berger

Wellness : Wealth Through Quality of Life.

Anna Berger was born and raised just west of Boston, Ma. She spent 12 wonderful years in Vail, Colorado where she has been working with athletes (snowboard, equestrian, yoga, climbing, dance, etc) since 2000. Currently she resides in amazing SoCal, San Diego where she dances Samba, enjoys thoughtful conversations about our changing world, and explores the many arts of acrobatics and yoga. She comes from a background as a P.T. Assistant, and has a Ba. Sci. in Complementary & Alternative Medicine with a minor in Art and Recreation Wellness; additionally working with bodies as a Licenced Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer. Through her personal experience she has learned the importance of maintaining a balance in life through living a healthy, active lifestyle. Anna has been practicing yoga since 2001, and obtained a 200+ hour cert through Forrest Yoga Teacher Training in Boston, Ma. in 2004. She has also had continuing education with Shiva Rea, Simon Park, Janet Stone, and many other fine masters local and traveling through Colorado. Anna's athletic classes work with injuries and strengthening through toned, flexible muscles set to an up-beat atmosphere that challenging and inviting at the same time. Anna has enjoyed the opportunity to share her knowledge of yoga with the Vail Ski/Snowboard Team as their private yoga instructor, and has also spearheaded programs such as "Yoga for Kids". Her teaching style is influenced by the beauty of movement that surrounds her in nature and recreation. Each class incorporates a sense of strength, joy, and integrity for all as she pays great respect to detailed guidance with each asana, she invites you to open your mind/body with her in this playful and progressive atmosphere.

Snowboard.

Anna's adventures in snowboarding have cultivated an athlete who enjoys varied terrains of extreme vertical snowy powder fields with aspens/conifer trees to bob and weave at high speeds. She is a level 2 Certified Snowboard Instructor with the Professional American Association of Snowboard Instructors in the Rocky Mountain Division. Anna has also worked with the S.O.S. Foundation as a Youth Mentor, Instructor, and Field Coordinator from 2007 - 2011. Her mountains that she has instructed with include Vail and Beaver Creek in colorful Colorado.
