Anna Gazdowicz
Web and Accessibility Specialist in Berkeley, California
I am a UX professional specializing in UX design and processes, UI design, technical communication, and accessibility.
I currently work on UX, documentation, operations, customer support/training, and development for Open Berkeley, a turnkey web platform solution for UC Berkeley campus websites.
I previously assisted with Web Accessibility efforts at UC Berkeley in order to uphold the University of California's commitment to making electronic technologies fully accessible on all campuses.
I was also heavily involved with The Bay Bridged (Bay Area indie music) for many years before the organization shut down in 2021.
The other stuff:
I grew up in Sebastopol, CA; my coming-of-age years revolved around volleyball, Gravenstein apples, and a high school located next to a dairy farm.
My adult life has been a love letter to the University of California. I spent 4 years in the majestic redwood forest of UC Santa Cruz, and I have worked at UC Berkeley since then.
After spending 7 excellent years in San Francisco, my husband and I moved to Berkeley in 2015. We have 3 children: a boy born in 2017, and boy/girl twins born in 2021.
I enjoy music, singing, practicing kung fu, playing DDR, riding my bike, cooking, and eating.
