How have imagination and intelligence been measured across historical and national boundaries? How does one educate the 'whole' child in a changing world? Studying the production of teachers, psychologists, and writers in pre-Civil War Spain and early twentieth century Europe, I consider such questions from an intellectual, cultural, and literary perspective.

Springing from this interest in interdisciplinary work, my professional goals include the development and management of international networks of scholarly research and exchange across educational, governmental, and charitable sectors.
