I am a fourth year Political Science student at the University of Victoria with a passion for social justice, gender issues, and environmental protection. I was raised in Victoria, B.C, and have grown up amongst tall trees and liberal intellectuals, which have been critical factors in my political and social interests.

One way that I have explored these interests is through Model United Nations International (MUN). I am a delegate of the Model UN club at Uvic and have travelled across North America to participate in UN simulations with thousands of other students from all over the world. At a MUN conference in New York, my partner and I co-authored a position paper on "The Rights to Privacy in the Digital Age" which subsequently won an award of excellence! Through these experiences, I have strengthened my understanding of the nuances of political power, as well as come to a new appreciation for the rigours of the international negotiation process.

I love music and travel, and especially love to combine the two --these passions most recently took me to Carnegie Hall! I get much excitement out of creating beautiful spaces in my home, and then enjoying them as much as possible. I also frequently find myself imagining how a scene in front of me would look through my camera lens (though i must admit, my current camera’s abilities rarely live up to my expectations).

I have yet to figured out where my career is headed, because i have yet to hear of one that marries my entirely unrelated creative and political enthusiasms. It is my hope that through exploring different avenues, I will discover a niche market that needs exactly what I have to offer.

My back up plan is that I will simply make up a career for myself, and then enjoy it to its fullest.
