Anna Fishbeyn is an actor, playwright and founder of XOFeminist Productions, a new multimedia progressively feminist company dedicated to producing theatre, film, and web content.

The company is currently launching a new comedic web series, Happy Hour Feminism, set to premiere on April 12th, 2015, written by Anna Fishbeyn, directed by Adrian Roman.

XO Feminist Productions co-produced My Stubborn Tongue at the New Ohio Theatre, NYC, in the summer of 2014. Following its off-Broadway premiere at the New Ohio, My Stubborn Tongue was selected for the United Solo Festival in the fall of 2014, where it sold out and was extended. The Huffington Post called My Stubborn Tongue a “wild ride…an insightful entertaining show” and stated that Anna has “triumphed.”

My Stubborn Tongue was transformed into a cabaret by director Adrian Roman and Anna performed the show at the Soho Theatre, London, April 16th - 17th, 2015.

Anna Fishbeyn's first play, Sex in Mommyville, has been performed at numerous New York venues, including the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, La Mama, Snapple Theater, and The Flea Theater, amongst many others. Sex in Mommyville was called “comic genius,” by WCBS Radio, recommended by Bloomberg News, compared to Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House” by Jewish Week, and described as “shattering all the myths around women” by the Huffington Post.

Anna holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago, M.F.A. in fiction writing from New School University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Education from Columbia University. She has made TV and radio appearances, including FoxTV, The New York Times Podcast, WCBS Radio, and 99.5FM and has been featured in Today.com, NBC.com, the Huffington Post, DNAinfo, Tribeca Citizen, NYCasting, OFFOFFLINE, The Forward, and numerous blogs.
