I appreciate nothing more in life than a good laugh, a well told story, a delicious dessert, an eloquent quote and a plane ticket to somewhere new.

In my free time I am an avid knitter, reader, and, having recently purchased a sewing machine, am trying my hand at sewing. Having been raised on sea air and mountain views I am a strong believer in the importance of nature and a heartfelt environmentalist.

After traveling around East Africa and interning for Africa SOMA (a local NGO focused on increasing access to education and information for rural Maasai) I fell in love with the region and am constantly dreaming up plans to go back. I recently joined Africa SOMA's board of directors and am enjoying pouring myself into the organization.

My work life revolves around climate change adaptation, specifically looking at how Canadian Inuit are adapting to climate change. I really love this work as I truly feel like I'm making an impact in an area I am passionate about.
