Anna Ermelinda James is a writing pseudonym and it represents three women I truly admire.

Anna and Ermelinda are both characters in my favorite novel by Mia Couto, the Mozambican writer, although they are quite different by nature. First is a woman of chances, pleasure and hedonistic prostitute and the other firm family woman. And finally James represents famous singer, text writer and a woman, who gave us powerful songs with her glorious voice; of course I'm talking about Etta James.
