Anna Gizowska
Journalist in London, United Kingdom
Thanks for stopping by.
I've been a journalist for over 20 years (gulp) and I contribute news and features to most of the usual suspects — UK national newspapers and magazines.
Bylines include: The Sunday Times, The Sunday Times Magazine, The Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, Sunday Mirror, Daily Mail, Guardian, Observer, Cruise International ...
I've covered everything from shootouts in the Bronx to cricket, crocs, and politics in Australia. I've broken a few recent (secret squirrel) political scoops (but you won't know that was me). I made ITN newscaster Alastair Stewart cry (happy tears) for a piece for the Sunday Times Magazine, and almost wept myself investigating the horror of teenage plastic surgery in South Korea.
Most memorable interview? The wonderful (late) Joan Rivers for London Magazine — a glorious afternoon at her lavish penthouse relishing every word that rolled off her deliciously wicked tongue. I wish you'd been there to hear her "off-the-record" stories (double gulp).
As a writer, it's not about the publications I write for, but the people I write about (that's you), so please feel free to get in touch. I'm always happy to hear from you.
