Anna Kostecka (she/her) is globally-minded Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategist with +10 years of experience supporting organizations around the world on their DEI journey. Her work has helped over a hundred large and medium-sized employers from private, public, and non-profit sectors built more inclusive workplaces. Anna is currently based in Warsaw and is splitting her time between leading strategic initiatives at Diversity Hub Think Tank and supporting employers in Europe and Canada through her consulting practice.
In her most recent role as a Senior Manager, Learning and Inclusive Workplaces at the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC), Anna established and led TRIEC’s learning and consulting portfolio. During her tenure at TRIEC, the organization has been recognized by HR Reporter Readers' Choice Awards in the category Diversity/Employment Equity Consultants (65,000 votes cast by HR professionals across Canada). One of her biggest accomplishments is leading the development and piloting of Inclusive Workplace Competencies. The framework, that describes knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to create an inclusive workplace, is now being used by organizations around the world.
Anna holds an M.A. degree in Psychology from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, and an Adult Learning and Development Certificate from the University of Toronto. She is a qualified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) that measures intercultural competence, and the Intercultural Conflict Style Inventory that identifies an individual’s approach to resolving conflicts. She has lived and worked in six countries and speaks four languages.
