Annat Jain is the founder and Managing Partner of Acropolis Capital Group, a New Delhi based investment firm focusing on investing in Special Situation and PE opportunities in India.

Prior to this, Annat founded and led Avenue Capital Group’s South Asian investment and asset management operations. Avenue is a New York based investment firm with assets of more than $16 billion under management. At Avenue, Annat built and managed an office of senior investment professionals in New Delhi. Apart from his role as Country Manager and Managing Director for South Asia, Annat worked as a regional resource for Avenue’s investments in South East Asia.

Annat was exclusively responsible for originating, reviewing, negotiating, deal structuring and for deal closure. Subsequent to any investment, his role was to establish and monitor the portfolio companies, and to lead the creation of shareholder value at the Board level of the portfolio companies by working closely with promoters and senior management of the companies.

Prior to joining Avenue Asia, Annat founded an Indian investment advisory firm that partnered with global institutional investors to purchase distressed loans and review investments in India. Prior to this, he worked for Enron International in direct investments and the development of Energy and Telecom businesses in India.

Annat received a Masters of Public Administration (International Finance) from Columbia University in New York, and a Masters and Bachelors of Architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia
