Anna Whartnaby

Chicago, Illinois

I am currently in the third year of my teaching career at Calvin Christian School in South Holland, Illinois. I spent two years teaching primary-aged students on the West Side of Chicago as a Teach For America 2012 Corps Member. While every day brings new challenges, I am daily more deeply rooted in the conviction that all kids deserve an excellent education. I am passionate about people, building relationships, communication, and reaching for excellence.

I taught second grade at LEARN Charter Campbell Campus for the 2012-2013 school year, first grade for the 2013 - 2014 year, and am now back in second grade. My incredible students make me laugh, keep me on my toes, and amaze me with their creative ideas, brilliance, and perspective. I am blessed to be their teacher.

I love to run, try new restaurants in the Windy City, and write on the blog that I started in college while traveling abroad (link is below). Thanks for stopping by my page!
