Anne Sumona

I was born in Kolkata (Calcutta), India and adopted when I was just three and a half months old. My middle name “Sumona” is Hindi meaning Beautiful Silence or in Sanskrit, calm, a person with good and pure heart.

I have an A.A. degree in Fashion Design from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California. I'm inspired by nature, especially the way light reflects and casts shadows from one object to another. I love mixed media art, collages, water color painting and of course, knitting. I haven't been in touch with my creative side in quite some time but my mind has been ignited and this is just the beginning of a great chapter of my life.
