Sharing her personal story of abuse, addiction and recovery in hopes of fostering mutual spiritual growth. Anne's inspirational message of hope often delivered with song, rap and just enough laughter to fill the room with excitement, captures the audience's attention and keeps it! "Helping women turn the page to productive behavior by thinking then acting differently" is my motto and mission. Raised in rural Alabama during the racially charged 60's, Anne's experiences are filled with discovery moments that helped to shape her desire to serve others. She volunteers with numerous non-profit organizations, and for more than a decade she was committed to the juvenile court system which gave her exposure to families with substance, sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Because the majority of the cases involved single mothers, Anne kept thinking that if she could help mothers to get back on track, she could save a generation. She now focuses on women who are currently incarcerated or have been recently released and are ready to change their lives.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Anne received a scholarship to play volleyball and in doing so, became the first Black American on the university team. A lifelong learner, Anne continues to take classes on human behavior, but she acknowledges', " the best class is one person talking to another". An award winning speaker, Anne placed among the top speakers at the World Championship of Public Speaking in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2011 with her presentation entitled "One Thousand-Four Hundred-Forty".
