Anne Bozievich
Pennsylvania
Hello everyone! I'm Anne Bozievich, a school library media specialist at Friendship Elementary School. I am in my sixth year as the library media specialist, and I feel especially lucky to be working at Friendship because it's the elementary school (and school district) I attended K–12 and graduated from. After graduation, I completed my bachelor's degree at Elizabethtown College, studying professional writing. I worked as an editor for a company that produced curriculum for home school students while completing my master's degree in school library media at McDaniel College in 2009. In 2012, I completed a second master's degree in instructional media from Wilkes University.
I am currently taking classes at McDaniel College, working towards a graduate certificate in writing for children and young adults. I am also taking classes at Wilkes University as I work towards a master's degree in instructional technology.
Following is my philosophy, mission, and vision for the elementary library media center:
Philosophy
The library media center is dedicated to enhancing classroom curriculum by providing a student-friendly environment that stimulates intellectual curiosity and imagination, encourages reading for pleasure, promotes a lifelong desire for knowledge, and nurtures an appreciation of books and other multimedia resources.
Mission
To provide excellent resources and instruction that inspires a lifelong love of books and reading.
Vision
The School Library Media Center will be a place that
- is approachable, exciting, and dedicated to encouraging the best in student achievement

- nurtures an appreciation of and a desire for knowledge
