Anne builds culture around ideas, messages and brands, with special affection for the Millennial generation.
Currently a Senior Vice President at Viacom, Anne leads Scratch, a creative consultancy she helped create. Scratch applies the expertise of Viacom and its brands like MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and BET to develop insights, strategy, products, messages, content and experiences that resonate. Anne joined Viacom in 2008 and, prior to Scratch, worked in Development & Programming at MTV360 and Integrated Programming at mtvU, MTV’s Emmy and Peabody award winning college network.
Before joining Viacom, Anne worked on Capitol Hill in the office of Senator Jon Corzine of New Jersey, as a policy advisor covering a range of areas including technology, telecommunications, gun safety and the economy. She also spent time in management consulting at BCG and working in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in St. Louis, her hometown.
She regularly serves as an expert resource on Millennials and their impact on the brands, industries and movements that are changing the world. She has been featured at TEDxEast, the United Nations, South by Southwest, Harvard Business School, Yale University, Goldman Sachs’ Talks@GS, Share.Like.Buy, and has addressed audiences in North and South America, Europe and Asia, including numerous Fortune 500 companies, members of Congress, political campaigns, and a variety of industry summits for media, entertainment, automotive, financial services and sustainability audiences. She has also appeared on Yahoo! News and VoiceAmerica Radio, and been quoted by the New York Times, Fast Company, Vanity Fair, The Washington Post, The Huffington Post and Forbes.
Anne holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a JD from Harvard Law School and a BS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford. She serves on the executive board of Venture for America, as an Ambassador for Run for America and calls New York her home.
