Anne Liu

Hi, my name is Anne Liu. I am a junior at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a member of the Isenberg School of Management, anticipating to graduate in May 2015. I am an Accounting major and an Information Technology minor. Within Isenberg, I am involved in the Accounting Association, serving as secretary. I am also a member of Beta Alpha Psi, which is a national professional honor fraternity in accounting. I plan to take the CPA exam upon meeting the qualification of 150 credit hours in May 2015. Upon my graduation, I intend to pursue a position with a public accounting firm, specializing in taxation.

I was born in Boston, MA and moved to Quincy, MA when I was ten years old. Along with English, I also speak three other Chinese dialects (Mandarin, Cantonese, and Fujianese). I am currently working at OIT (Office of Information Technologies) as a Computer Classroom Consultant/Staffroom Consultant. I also worked at State Street Corporation as a Processing Analyst.

I consider myself a hardworking and career driven individual with desire and ambition to succeed. I strive for perfection in everything I do. I am a firm believer that if you work hard enough, you can achieve anything. I am incredibly passionate about helping others. When I was younger, I’ve enjoyed helping my parents around the house. As I grew older, that habit grew and I desire to help others as well. Ever since grade school, I’ve always been involved in my school and community, participating in a wide variety of community services and volunteering projects.

Outside of school and work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. They are truly the most important things to me in my life. I also love traveling, learning about different cultures, exploring new things, meeting new people, listening to music, swimming, watching movies, and shopping.
