Anne Maree Barry is a film artist based at The Fire Station Artists' Studios in Dublin, Ireland. She is a graduate of both The Limerick School of Art and Design (BA Fine Art, 2002) and The National College of Art and Design, (MFA Media 2004). In 2006 her first experimental short film was the winner of Best Irish Short at the Darklight Film Festival. Her observational documentary short film, Rialto Twirlers, was officially selected for The Dublin International Film Festival. Her film project Missing Green screened at the Irish Film Institute 2013, and has subsequently been screened at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Les Rencontres Internationales at Palais de Tokyo and Gaîté Lyrique, Paris and Haus der Kulteren der Welt, Berlin. Her most recent film No Mean City (2015) was made on a residency at The Liaison of Independent Film Makers of Toronto. The film has screened at the Irish Film Institute and in a gallery context at TULCA Festival of Visual Arts, Galway, curated by Mary Cremin. She is currently a resident at HIAP Helsinki.
