I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California, where my parents raised my three sibs and me following Einstein's advise to "read them fairy tales." At Humboldt State in Northern California, I met my rural-boy-turned-scientist, married him, and together we moved to Fort Collins, CO, Berkeley, CA, and Logan, UT, where we raised our three fantastic children. For the past twenty-five years, I'm been teaching writing and literature, twenty-three of them at Utah State University. I have creative work published in wordriver, Pear Noir! and Huffington Post. I've received some writing awards from Writers@Work, Glimmer Train, and the League of Utah Writers. I am currently peddling a crime novel set in Berkeley. I'm living in Spain with my husband.
