I'm a Medical doctor from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. I obtained my Medical degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria in 2009, with honours as the best graduating student in Medicine. During my national service year, I got involved in community development projects in the most deprived regions of the nation's capital and developed a keen sensitivity and passion for population health and preventive medicine. To gain further experience in the social determinants of health and disease, I enrolled for the Masters in Global Health Science at Oxford and was awarded an international ExxonMobil Scholarship. I graduated from Oxford in 2012, with distinction. I'm currently working with the National Health Service in England, gaining valuable skills to employ in my home country, Nigeria, in the near future. I'm also a consultant for Humanity Family Health Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation based in Nigeria, working to combat the menace of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
