Ann Hamilton and her family have been a major force supporting higher education in Southwest Florida. Ann Hamilton is involved at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in Fort Myers, serving as a board member for that college’s foundation. She also served on FGCU’s board of trustees, leading the student and academic affairs committee.

In addition, Hamilton and her family support FGCU’s business school with the William Thomas Howard Annual Business Seminar, named for her father. The event attracts corporate leaders from around the country, including magazine editor Steve Forbes in 2016.

At Florida SouthWestern State College, Hamilton served as the executive director of the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, a leading entertainment venue in Fort Myers.

Prior to her educational service, Hamilton was a financial analyst for Keltec Florida, evaluating lease and purchase options. Hamilton also conducted product development research for the Marketing Research Institute in Riverside, California.

Her academic background includes an MA in business administration from the University of California, where she served an internship with General Dynamics. Hamilton obtained her baccalaureate degree at Florida State University in speech pathology.
