Ann Hartley
Associate Director, University Career Center in Lawrence, Kansas
The only thing we know for certain is that change is inevitable. This is one of the aspects I love about working at the University Career Center. We are constantly evolving and changing with fresh ideas and interesting challenges. In my role as an Associate Director, I develop relationships with employers, helping them promote their opportunities and find great students to hire. I collaborate with our team of career coaches and other KU departments on programs and events to help students engage with employers and explore their career paths.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, exercising, meditating and trying new varieties of teas. I get my opera fix from the live performances from the Met at the local movie theater. Browsing art galleries on Final Fridays in downtown Lawrence, and helping the Friends of the Public Library sort books for the book sales are a couple other of my favorite activities.
