I am the Managing Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Nomura Securities International, based in New York, NY. In my role, I specialize in originating, advising, and executing M&A transactions within the consumer industry, focusing on beverage alcohol, beauty, and personal care sectors. I excel in building and fostering relationships with corporates, financial sponsors, and entrepreneurial clients by maintaining consistent engagement. I am an expert in advising clients on process strategy, deal structuring, valuation, deal negotiations, and overall tactics.
Before joining Nomura, I was an Executive Director in Mergers and Acquisitions at UBS Securities LLC from 2013 to 2018. During my tenure at UBS, I evaluated, advised, and executed buy-side and sell-side transactions across various industries, including consumer products, gaming, retail, healthcare, technology, and industrials. I collaborated closely with clients' management teams to develop marketing materials, assist with due diligence efforts, manage information flow, build financial and valuation models, and draft presentations for internal and external stakeholders. I also played a pivotal role in interfacing with various industry coverage and product groups within the firm to prepare cohesive analyses and presentations. As a staffer to analysts, associates, and summer interns, I managed workloads, prepared training materials, conducted performance reviews, and provided mentorship and guidance.
Prior to starting my career in investment banking, I was a Senior Collateral Analyst at Deloitte in New York, where I performed due diligence on asset-backed securities, including residential mortgages, home equity loans, auto loans, and commercial real estate loans. I was responsible for analyzing data tapes and term sheets provided by investment banks to ensure data integrity.
I hold a Master of Business Administration from New York University Stern School of Business, which I earned in May 2013. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, obtained in June 2004.
In addition to my professional achievements, I am conversant in Mandarin and have a passion for traveling, scuba diving, and adventure sports.
