Annie Zinnen

Despite being raised in a small Midwestern town, I have always possessed dreams of grandeur and nurtured an immense desire to explore the world and make a positive social and political impact on my community.

I am currently an English major, with a secondary education minor, pursuing my education at Carroll University in Waukesha. Like most English majors, I hope to one day publish a book of fantasy and horror. I hope to acquire a teaching certificate within the next four years, and possibly pursue law school.

Education has always been tantamount in my life. I graduated in the top ten of my class in high school with distinction in English. I completed my first semester at college with a 4.0. I have always placed academics first in my life, and I will continue to do so for the rest of my life.

Much to my surprise, I have discovered a great amount of skill and pleasure in customer service and professional interaction. I worked as the primary front at a small pie shop in a tourist town, eager to help customers and always with a smile on my face.

Writing still remains one of the most important aspects of my life. I hope to utilize my abilities as a writer and as a socially-oriented person to help society.

I am currently a member of the Chi Omega Fraternity (the largest female fraternity in America) and work as the Chi Omega webmaster. I am also a study assistant for the English faculty at Carroll.
