Originally from New Mexico, USA, I've traveled to 20 countries across five continents, Morocco being the most recent. I am very excited to teach at the American Academy of Casablanca this year. As the oldest of nine children (seven of whom are boys!), children have always been an important part of my life.
I have a degree in Women and International Public Policy from Cornell College as well as a certification in K-8 Education from Santa Fe Community College. Last year I taught 6th grade in Santa Fe Public Schools. I believe that we need to connect our students to the greater world; empower them to find and use their voices; and show them that they can be agents of change in their community and beyond.
When I'm not at school you might find me hiking, gardening, or reading.
