Soprano Annie Deering is an award-winning scholarship graduate of St. Olaf College with a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance. She is the recipient of numerous honors, awards and scholarships for vocal artistry. She has garnered awards and accolades on a national level. Some of her opera credits include roles in Claudio Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, Giacomo Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi, Leonard Bernstein’s Candide, and Kurt Weill’s Street Scene. Ms. Deering has also been a featured soprano soloist for several professional ensembles leading to her appearance on the MPR’s “A Prairie Home Companion” and performances in venues such as Seattle’s premier Benaroya Hall, the Strathmore of Maryland, and Orchestra Hall of Minneapolis. Ms. Deering has recently been accepted to the Masters of Vocal Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England.
