Tap, tap, tap. (is this thing on?) I hope you can hear me. I’m Annie, and I was asked to brief you on who I think I am...at least for right now. I’m a mother and an author living in Houston Texas. I am a fan of (duh, reading and writing) but I also love painting. When I feel stressed (do we admit such things?) I go out to my workshop and create. My workshop is not my office; there's no computer or typewriter. It's a space that is sadly lacking air conditioning, but is heavily loaded with power tools. My favorite tool is my lathe- I hook up a bit of dried lumber and start insta-whittling that sad looking log until it becomes a beautiful something or other. I love creating objects out of wood, resin and, of course, words.
