I'm currently a student at California State University, Fullerton. I'm pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications with a concentration in public relations along with a minor in sociology. I like the juxtaposition of these two fields; it provides me with disciplinary balance. The former has its roots in practicality as a means to support a business through an interpersonal approach, while the latter is very theoretical in nature and tries to make sense of the intangible.
Looking at it, my chosen fields of study somewhat represent how I go about life. I would argue that I'm governed by my head and logic, but I seek to find deeper understanding in my everyday interactions with others in hopes of finding an underlying purpose or meaning to the mundane.
It may come as no surprise that I like to know a little bit about a lot of things. This can be seen through my love of trivia game shows like Jeopardy, which are my guilty pleasure. Being a well-rounded individual certainly has its benefits, although I wish I had some sort of individual talent or passion like many of my peers. I can only hope that it makes itself apparent in due time. (I would argue that I'm a fairly decent writer, though.)
I would say it's undeniable that I'm an old soul. I like others that understand and entertain my dry sense of humor. I may come off as aloof at times, but I insist that I make a loyal friend once you win me over. You can win my heart by having a sharp wit while helping me dismantle the patriarchy.
