Genevieve Brown

Hi, I’m Genny Brown aka the Antarctic Aruban. I moved to London 9 years ago and am originally from the sunny Caribbean island of Aruba.

In November 2018 I will attempt to be the first Aruban to brave the extreme temperatures of the Antarctic and ski from the last degree to the Geographical South Pole.

The aims of the expedition are:

· To raise awareness of the extent in which Lyme disease can affect the quality of a person’s day to day life and the importance of testing being made available at early stages of infection. (educating GP’s)

· To raise funds for Lyme Aid UK which is a charity that provides grants to people on low incomes who suspect they have Lyme Borreliosis to get private testing.

· To inspire those facing hopeless situations and battling debilitating diseases to keep on fighting to achieve their dreams and goals
