I was told at college that my generation would have to retrain at least twice during our careers becausethe "job for life" was becoming a thing of the past. I took it to heart and have been constantlydeveloping ever since. I started out as a physical chemist and morphed from there to engineering.Along the way I took on a full range of sales and management skills. I could easily draw parallelsbetween the discipline of physical science, engineering and management science and went back toschool to underpin my expertise. I have continued to develop new sub skill sets whilst providingprofessional services as a consultant across a wide range of business sectors.
