Anthony Davis

Councilman Anthony Davis is currently the Metro Councilman for Nashville's 7th District, and is the President of East Nashville Beer Works (www.eastnashbeerworks.com), a small craft brewery in East Nashville.

Prior to this new venture, CM Davis was Co-owner and Marketing Director for iDesign Inc., a web and print creative agency based in Nashville, TN. iDesign was launched in July of 2005, and currently has eleven employees. The company was named to the Nashville Chamber of Commerce's "Future 50" in 2010, and was a finalist for "Nashville NEXT" in 2012. The company sold in December 2014.

Prior to starting I Design, Anthony served as Regional Sales Manager for the Christie Cookie Company. Anthony is goal oriented, driving the success of iDesign and clients simultaneously.

Having received his marketing degree from Lambuth University, Anthony is also the co-founder of Greener Nashville, a non-profit organization geared towards providing a sustainability or "green" resource for Middle Tennesseans. Greener Nashville has become a premier online home for green events, news, and happenings in Nashville. Anthony Davis also serves on the board for the Margaret Maddox YMCA in East Nashville, as well as the Discover Madison Board (Amqui Station), Friends of Riverside Drive, Friends of Shelby, and the Nashville Adult Literacy Council.

In 2008, he received an award from the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce as a Nashville Emerging Leader. Anthony also chaired the Nashville Chamber East for 2009-2010. New Leaders Council awarded Anthony national recognition as "40 under 40" in 2013.

In 2011, he was elected to Nashville's Metropolitan Council in the 7th District, which includes East Nashville, Inglewood, and part of Madison, and was re-elected in 2015 (both times without runoff despite three candidates). Anthony has been the Chair of the Public Works Committee (2014-2015), served on Budget and Finance, and was the Rules/Confirmations/Public Elections Chairman for 2012-2013. Other passions include: Craft Beer, Ultimate Frisbee, tennis, and playing music.
