Anthony DeMarco

Anthony “Tony” DeMarco is a raconteur, a gourmand, a bon-vivant, a Philadelphia Eagles Fanatic and a bad golfer who has played poorly in all 50 states, around Scotland and in two Canadian Provinces. DeMarco is Springsteen aficionado who has seen the Boss over 140 times. DeMarco played college football for Franklin & Marshall College and ran in two New York Marathons in 1986 and 1988, although there are many rumors about DeMarco’s performance in the ’88 Marathon. DeMarco was a member of the Actorspace Theatre Company in New York and performed in several Off-Broadway productions. DeMarco also performed Stand Up Comedy in New York and throughout California in the late ’80s and ’90s.
DeMarco was the award-winning Vice President of the Lancaster Barnstormers. DeMarco handled multiple responsibilities during his time with the Barnstormers including creating the promotional schedule, selling skyboxes, selling sponsorship opportunities and managing special events. DeMarco successfully managed the LeSean McCoy Celebrity Softball Game at Clipper Magazine Stadium driving over $150,000 to ALS Research. DeMarco also designed and managed the Barnstormers’ Heralded School Spirit Program which generated tens of thousands of dollars towards Lancaster County Schools. DeMarco was awarded the Ken Shepard Award for Promotional Excellence for the creation of a series of bobblehead giveaways recognizing Lancaster Community’s significant citizens.
DeMarco served as the New York Development Lead for Franklin & Marshall College during John Fry’s transformational tenure at the college from 2006 to 2011. Fry and DeMarco would travel to New York regularly to drive scores of major philanthropic gifts back to the College and Lancaster. Their efforts were essential part of the incredible revitalization of Lancaster as one of the premier small cities in the United States.
Prior to his time at Franklin & Marshall, DeMarco served as Service Director for United Airlines in Philadelphia and as a Telecommunications Supervisor for United in both Los Angeles and Washington Dulles. DeMarco has also been a New York City Nightclub Promoter, a Taxi-Cab Driver, Santa Claus at the Mall, a Bartender, a Room-Service Waiter, a Maitre’ D, and an ineffective Bouncer at a Jersey Shore Nightclub.
