Anthony Ferla

Anthony Ferla is an Intern and Assistant Coach with the football staff at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In his current position, Mr. Ferla is responsible for coordinating the offensive scout team in practice, assisting in statistical analysis of the Temple Owls and their opponents, and creating the defensive back video test each week.

Prior to joining the coaching staff at Temple University, Anthony Ferla played on Temple’s football team as a defensive back. For Mr. Ferla’s outstanding play he was named the first sophomore Captain in school history and was selected to the preseason All-Mid-American Conference team as a defensive back in 2008. In 2009, his senior season, he won the Temple University Football Leadership and Enthusiasm Award. That same year, Mr. Ferla was part of Temple’s first team to appear in a bowl game in three decades when they played the University of California at Los Angeles in 2009 in the EagleBank Bowl at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington, District of Columbia.

Outside his passion for football, Anthony Ferla has given his time and skills to numerous charitable organizations and has worked to help the least fortunate in his community. Some of this charity work includes serving food in homeless shelters at Thanksgiving in Newark, New Jersey, helping runners on a breast cancer awareness walk in Philadelphia, and hosting a camp for young boys and girls in Philadelphia to teach them football. In May 2010, Mr. Ferla graduated from Temple University with Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Advertising.
